We already had our first snow day of the season. FOUR inches of snow. I couldn't believe they cancelled school for that. It happened on what was supposed to be the first day back after the holiday break. So, we had Stokelie home for six days!! (sarcasm) Since all of my friends were ready for kids to go back to school and it didn't happen, we got together to play. We will use any excuse to get together. A lot of them grew up in Utah and we were talking about how we only remember one snow day, and that was because we got about 3 feet of snow over night. Not here. If it rains anytime from December to February they cancel school because they are afraid of freezing rain. I guess I understand, but it just seems weird. Last year Stokelie had about 7 snow days. I guess we are on track for another crazy winter. Especially since there is not enough funding for the snow removal this year. The snow plows can clear roads until 5 pm. Any snow remaining, or that falls after that has to wait until the next day. I am ready for our economy to get back in good standings. Especially here in Michigan.
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving.
