John is going to call Grand Junction one more time and try to get any info they are willing to give and if it doesn't sound like it is going to work then he is calling Oregon. I can't believe this time is finally here. It feels like we have been doing this for so long. Thank you to my sister Emily for coming out and being willing to watch the kidos for us. I can't tell you how much we both appreciated it. Thank you to the rest of our families for your constant support. We love you all very much.

It looks hopeful
We got back from Oregon yesterday. Everything went really well. We are hopeful that if John makes his decision quickly he will have a job at one of the three he interviewed at. It was absolutely beautiful there. I didn't know that it is actually warm enough for palm trees to grow!!! And one of the doctors doesn't even own a snow shovel!!! Two really big bonus' for me. We both loved the area and are really excited for the future decision. I really think that Oregon will be a good fit for us. It has everything we enjoy doing and it is in the west. Aside from the distance from family it is wonderful. I also found out, and our families will be glad to hear this, but their is a direct flight from Medford (where John applied) to Salt Lake City.

A wonderfully busy day...
Today was a day filled with happy emotion. Stokelie started first grade today. I think I had a harder time with this year than last. I didn't cry when I dropped her off, but yesterday was hard for me for some reason. She was super excited to be going back. She was very ready to be away from her little brother and have a little more structure in her day. I am so excited for her, and hope that this year will be another good one for her. Good luck this year Stokelie. We love you.

Today was also Caleb's third birthday. Oh my gosh!!! Where does the time go? We didn't celebrate today because John had to work so we are doing it on Friday. When Caleb first woke up the first thing he said after we wished him a happy birthday was, "Today I get my circle cake and my big present." I felt really bad that he didn't get anything today. He was so excited to get a present. After dropping Stokelie off at school John and I were sitting on the bed playing with Caleb and teasing him, of course, and he looked at dad and said in a very serious tone, "I don't like you tone Daaad." It was so funny. He has a little bit of a Michigan accent so his A's are drawn out and it is so dang cute. We laughed for a long time. John ended up taking Caleb to breakfast before he had to go to work. I like that John takes the kids to do one on one things. I think it makes their day much more memorable. Happy birthday Caleb! We love you too.
